improving me
Lets get personalHey there! I'm a 20 year old biology loving, music inspired, cat obsessed, still trying to figure out life kinda gal. My wellness journey started about three months ago and is still a major work in progress. Though I've never really struggled with my body image, I have with routine exercise. Before college I maintained an active lifestyle that was engrossed in band (marching, concert, jazz, chamber, quintet, etc.) and a little bit of soccer on the side. It was the transition to college life that made almost everything "increase" (mostly my stress levels). With that in mind, I decided to dedicate time to choices that would be impactful. I began exercising 4-5 times a week, and can proudly run 3 miles without pausing. I can even give my health freak of a sister a run for her money, literally. Diet has also been a key factor in this new phase. I now eat lots of vegetables (or at least try to) along with a better balance of carbs and sugar. I have discovered some wonderful and horrible recipes, but have really learned how to fuel my body, instead of starve it.

Finding balance: 6 dimensions of wellness |
The six dimensions of wellness are truly important to a long and healthy life. While certain aspects can seem more important than others, a true balance is key. This conscience, self-propelled process requires dedication and input, but is truly rewarding. The difference between who you are and who you want to be is what you do.
